FRAMELINE30, the SF International LGBT Film Festival, will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary as the oldest and largest event in the world
dedicated to screening the best in queer film. Maria Maggenti (“The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love”) brings her new feature, “Puccini for Beginners” to San Francisco for the opening.

Here are a baker’s dozen worth of capsule reviews of films seen at the festival. One person can only see so much; two that were missed were “Gabrielle” (which stars Isabelle Huppert; reason enough to want to see it) and “Brothers of the Head” which, by all accounts, is a real eye opener. |
